Who Am I?
I am a 44-year-old woman who is half-Japanese and half-American. My dad is no longer with us, but my mom is
enjoying life in San Francisco, California. I was born the middle child of three children who grew up all
over the world because my father was a career soldier in the U.S. Army. My sister also lives
in California and my brother lives in Colorado. My husband, Brian, and I met when we were both stationed
in Belgium and we have been happily married for a little over ten years. My two step-children are grown and
have been out on their own for quite a while now. Phoenix, my daughter, is the only child we have left at
home and she is a sophomore in high school this year.
What Do I Do for a Living?
I am a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Army with a little over 20 years on active duty. I am currently stationed in
Mannheim, Germany but I will be retiring soon to return the United States and the great state of Texas. Even
though I am retiring from the military, I am looking forward to starting my second career as either a
software programmer, or a web site developer, or perhaps a combination of both.
What Kind of Education Do I Have?
I have an Associates Degree in General Education and a Bachelors Degree in Computer Sciences from the University
of Maryland. The computer courses I have taken are primarily programming and Internet-related. My last
programming classes before I graduated were "Advanced Visual Basic.NET Programming" and "Internet: An
Advanced Guide". Even though I have more semester hours in programming languages than in Internet-related
courses, I have more hands-on experience in web site development. I have been playing around at building
web sites for over ten years now but it seems like I still learn something new every day.
What Is Xtreme Dimensions?
Xtreme Dimensions is my portfolio web site. It is here that I will post material related to all my projects.
These projects will include programs and scripts I have written, graphic sets I have designed and web sites
I have developed. Think of it as an online studio of sorts, or perhaps another dimension of my mind.
Why Xtreme Dimensions?
For no other reason than because I like the sound of the name. It not only sounds cool, it's a name one is not
likely to forget very easily. It's an attention-grabber that usually intrigues you right from the start.
Now, enough about me ... go and enjoy XD!
